Nice to meet you!
Hi! I’m Xanthia, the Birth and Postpartum Doula behind Mother Bearth Doula Care.
I work to give birthing people and new babies the best, warmest and most humanizing care I can by showing up, listening to your wants and needs, and supporting your own empowerment in this life changing journey. I believe that the beginning of each humans’ story and the way we care for birthing people society can change the world. Care for our MotherEarth and Mothers who Bearth are interlinked.
My calling to birth work came 8 years ago when I walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain, and realized that the most divine thing I could imagine is the ability to create.
I completed by Birth and Postpartum trainings with MotherTree International LLC in 2024 and have certificates of trainings in Trauma Informed Care, Collaborative Practices, Lactation Support and more. Learning never ends, and I am constantly sharpening my skills and learning new approaches, modalities and practices.
My approach
Our work together will start with a free 30-minute conversation to see if we’re a good match. Finding your perfect doula is so important and if it’s not me, I support you in finding someone else who may fit your needs better.
If we choose to work together, we will schedule two prenatal visits to prepare in any way that feels good to you. This could be developing a birth plan together, nesting and preparing your space, going over any questions you have, and even practicing labor positions and ways a partner can support during labor. This is YOUR time - it can look however YOU need it to.
By getting to know each other before labor, I will know much better how to support you. No one-way-fits-all when it comes to birth. Maybe you need a quiet distraction free peaceful zone. Maybe you want music and dancing and playfulness. Maybe you just want someone to help you navigate a hospital setting.
Whatever your birthing needs and goals are, I will support you in achieving them.
After your baby comes, we will see each other (at least) two more times to integrate your birth and get the support you need immediately postpartum. This can be a beautiful and challenging time and I will continue to be there for you during your transition.
Our journey doesn’t have to end there. For all my clients, I will have ongoing parent-groups and education classes where you can gather, ask questions, find community and stay connected!
